I have used LiveJournal for a decade. I have a permanent account. I know how to make cut text work.
If I have to physically remove excess HTML coding BS because I put extra hard returns in my post and also ADD the end cut tag because you've neglected to add it at all, or it's stuck in the middle of some paragraph somewhere, that is not user-friendly. I have just futzed with the previous entry for half an hour because I couldn't get a simple cut tag to work to spare those who read my journal the twenty-some pictures on the post. And then, once I got it to work, I returned to add this little snarky message which somehow messed up the cut text again even though it was the second paragraph of the post before my image. That's just obnoxious.
I learned HTML so the rest of the world didn't have to. Now there's awesome stuff that codes for you. The least you can do is get it to work right.
